Iowa's biggest Irish celebration...Irish Fest is this weekend, Friday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 4th, 2019 in the Lincoln Park area of downtown Waterloo.
Iowa Irish Fest has become one of the most renowned Celtic fests in the nation. As approximately 50,000 people from the Midwest and around the world, are expected to visit the Cedar Valley this weekend. This year, they're offering even more live music, with 55 performances from 22 different groups. An incredible variety of world-class entertainment, each offering multiple performances. They've expanded to seven stages, including a new stage located on Sycamore St. directly across from Anton's Beer Garden.
Headlining bands this year include; back-by-popular demand, Gaelic Storm. Plus, Scythian, The Logues and, of course, the ever-popular Trinity Irish Dancers.
While terrific live music is the main draw, there is tons of other special events, cultural showcases, workshops, classes and family fun that visitors of all ages can participate in. Other events include: a High Nelly Bike Rally and Celtic Cruise. Along with a soccer and rugby tournament at the Cedar Valley Soccer Complex.
