On Friday, May 8, 2015, the racing action at the Farley Speedway was headlined by the Klein Custom Homes IMCA Late Models.

A stout field of 27 Late Model drivers were on hand looking to capture the 25 lap main event. Young Tyler Droste, a 2013 graduate of Waterloo West High School proved that his family racing tradition is alive and well as he led the Late Model feature flag to flag.

The third generation racer is son of accomplished Modified driver Steve Droste and grandson of the late great Red Droste. The Late Model feature was yellow flagged for a minor incident before a lap was completed and then went flag to flag the entire 25 laps. Droste ran away from the field taking the win with over a 1/4 lap lead at the finish line. Travis Smock took second on Friday night ahead of Nick Marolf.

Adam Johnson advanced from a seventh position start to score the win in the Precision Transmission IMCA Modified 20 lap feature event. Johnson broke out of a late race 3 car battle to cross under the checkers ahead of Jerry Luloff and Mark Schulte.

The GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Sportmod feature saw another hotly contested battle go to Tyler Soppe. 4 drivers had a shot at the win in the closing laps. Soppe was able to score the win over Troy Bauer and Bryce Garnhart.

Phil Holtz scored his first win at the Farley Speedway in 2015 topping the IMCA Stock Car division main event. Holtz took the win over last weeks feature winner Jerry Miles.

Repeat winners from one week ago, were Brandon Maitland in the Micro Mods and Quinton Miller in the IMCA Hobby Stocks.

Friday, May 15th the Farley Speedway will host a special event featuring the Ideal Ready Mix Tri-Track Challenge. The Klein Custom Homes IMCA Late Model drivers will all be gunning for the $2,000 first place prize money. In addition to the Late Models all support classes will be in action.
