Another dream came true for Waterloo native Emily West when she was a special guest on K-98.5's "Taste of Country Nights" hosted by Sam Alex.

"Waterloo, IA, that was my hometown. 98.5 FM, that was my go to," West remembered. "Anytime I used to drive in my big Oldsmobile, I would turn that station on and just dream that I would be on it."

That dream came true this past Friday when she joined Sam Alex at the Taste of Country studio. She was live not only on K-98.5, but across the country on all of the Taste of County Nights stations.

West even went acoustic to sing a song off of her new album. A fun diddy called "Puppy Dog". Which is a song see wrote with Kevin Rhodes. West brought her dog one day while the two were writing, and Rhodes is allergic to dogs, and that's when the magic started to happen.

Earlier, we featured another Emily West song entitled "Bitter". We love both of these songs, and we can't wait for her homecoming as a star that the Cedar Valley is so very proud of.

PS: Emily, if Bucky asks for your phone number, don't give it too him. LoL, but seriously don't. He's a mess.

PSS: Thanks to Sam Alex and the Taste of Country Nights crew for sending us the audio!
