Emily West Comes to Perform In Cedar Falls

You may remember Waterloo, Iowa native Emily West as the gal that stole America’s heart on NBC’s "America’s Got Talent". Since then she's signed a record deal, recorded an album, and thanks to the GBPAC, she is coming to Cedar Falls to perform.

The Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center (GBPAC) just released their 2015-2016 ‘Artist Series’ schedule, and Cedar Valley native Emily West makes a stop this season.

The Artist Series brings internationally acclaimed artists and programs to GBPAC for the benefit of students, faculty, staff and members of the surrounding community.

This season’s list includes big star names like Jay Leno. It also features Broadway touring shows like ‘Once’ – winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including best musical. The ‘Price is Right Live” road show even comes to the Gallagher. Plus the 2014 “America’s Got Talent” (NBC-TV) runner-up, Emily West performs.

West will close out the 2015-2016 Artist Series when she performs at the GBPAC on Friday, April 29, 2016.

The vocal powerhouse recently signed with Sony Music Masterworks. She has her new album “All For You” coming out this August, and just last month, she released her first single “Bitter”. West describes it as a very personal song that she wrote herself (listen below).
