Last weekend the 2019 World Thumb Wrestling Championships were held in England and a guy named Paul Browse won for the fourth consecutive year.

For his win, he received a bronzed-thumb trophy. Nice.

Some of the Official Rules include:

To win a contest a player must pin their opponent’s thumb down for as long as it takes to say: one, two, three, four, I win thumb-o-war! If the referee agrees that this has been achieved then that player is the winner.

If this cannot be achieved within 2 separate 60-second rounds then the tie will be settled with a game of sudden death “rock, paper, scissors."

Brutal.

Additional rules include: (1) elbows must remain on surface at all times, (2) Keep your fingernails to a short length.

To enter...it cost the equivalent of $6.
