In Brooklyn, New York there is a 25-year-old woman named Nekhidia Harris who recently graduated from college. Now, this is a special occasion for any student graduating but why was it extra special for Harris? Well, Harris never thought she would make it to graduation, as she was given 3 days to live at birth.

You see, when Harris was born her parents were told she only had 3 days lived and when those days passed and a few more, it was looking better but doctors still weren't hopeful about it. Harris has a disease that makes her bones brittle making them easy to break and growing up she has gone through multiple surgeries and broken her bones dozens of times. Her doctors also said she wouldn't be able to read, walk, write or use other motor skills and she is also only 3 feet tall.

Now, you understand why it was such a big deal when Harris graduated from Medgar Evers College with her bachelor's degree in social work.
