Willie Nelson is approaching his 87th birthday and it doesn't seem to be slowing him down! Not only is he still touring and spending about 200 days on the road, but he is also coming out with a new album AND rescuing horses to take to his farm!

Nelson own's a country hill ranch which he calls "Lucky" and for good reason. According to a quote he made to KSAT, Nelson says, "When you’re here, you're in Luck, and when you're not, you're out of Luck." Which is very true for his 70 horses on his ranch!

Nelson has rescued over 70 horses from going to the slaughterhouse in the past years and they are now roaming his farm. Not only are they the luckiest horses in the world but they are treated even better as they are hand-fed twice a day and allowed to roam freely on the 700-acre farm. As the last thing they remember before being rescued is going to their deaths at the slaughterhouse, they are being given a second chance at being free and happy to erase those memories.
