A man and woman from Waterloo were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Buchanan County on Tuesday.

The Iowa State Patrol said 63-year-old Lee Galloway and 60-year-old Mary Galloway were both transported to a Cedar Rapids hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

According to an accident report, the Galloway's were in a southbound jeep that left Interstate 380 and struck a bridge pillar. The mishap occurred around 9 AM near the County Road V-71 (Dugan Ave.) overpass north of Brandon.

The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate the crash.

Iowa State troopers were assisted at the scene by Iowa Department of Transportation officers, the Brandon and Urbana Fire Departments, and several ambulance services.
