With summer upon us and families planning out their vacations, the personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on 2019’s Most Fun States in America. So, how did Iowa do? How'd our Midwestern brethren do?

First off, to determine the states offering the greatest variety and most cost-effective options for enjoyment, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 26 different criteria of entertainment. The data set ranged from movie costs to nightlife, to accessibility of national parks to casinos per capita.

The TOP 5 states are:

1California
2Florida
3New York
4Washington
5Colorado

But how did Iowa do?

#35 out of 50.

Finishing 19 out of 50 in nightlife and 40 out of 50 in entertainment and recreation.

Minnesota finished 7th and Wisconsin 19th. At least we beat North Dakota... they were 40th. Oh, and Nebraska was 38th so, got them beat too!
