It's no secret that most people consider their pets as one of the family. In fact, some of us will go as far as to say they are our children. It should be no surprise that soldiers feel the same about their K-9 partners. In fact the intense situations they go through together during war seem to take that bond to a higher ground.

We found a series of videos showing soldiers being reunited with their K-9 partners after returning home that are guaranteed to make you smile and put a tear in your eye. Grab a tissue and enjoy.

Lance Corporal David Pond was recently reunited with Pablo, his canine comrade in Afghanistan.

This heartwarming reunion features  Army Specialist Vance McFarland. Thanks to help from Mission K-9 Rescue, McFarland and his former Tactical Explosive Detection Dog were reunited for good.

These two K-9 Marines were each deployed more than half a dozen times in Afghanistan and Iraq. The military has finally let them retire. Here's the double reunion with with their handlers.
