Home cooking was once again the theme during night two of the 2017 USHL Clark Cup Playoffs. Three Round 1 games were on the Saturday (April 15, 2017) schedule.

A goalie showcase highlighted Saturday night's games in the USHL, as the away teams only mustered a combine one goal scored on the night. All three goalies earned the games first star. All three home team victors now lead the best-of-five series 2-0.

YOUNGSTOWN PHANTOMS AT CHICAGO STEEL: Game 2
It was all about the Power Play for the Chicago Steel as they scored four times on seven PP's. Reggie Lutz (CHI) scored two of those Power Play goals 1:51 apart during the first period. Lutz ended the night with three points (2G, 1A). Jack Badini opened the second period with a Short Handed Goal (0:16), and the route was on. Chicago won 6-0. Goalie Ales Stezka (CHI) stopping all 40 shots he faced. Game 3 is in Youngstown on Friday, April 21 at 7:05 PM.

MUSKEGON LUMBERJACKS AT DUBUQUE FIGHTING SAINTS: Game 2
Jaxon Castor (DUB) saved all 36 shots he faced helping the Fighting Saints skate to a 3-0 shutout win over the Lumberjacks. Leading 2-0 late in the third, Dubuque sealed the win thanks to an empty net goal in the game's final minute. Game 3 is in Muskegon on Thursday, April 20 at 7:15 PM.

FARGO FORCE AT WATERLOO BLACK HAWKS: Game 2
Robbie Beydoun (WAT) saved 30 of 31 shots he saw helping the Waterloo Black Hawks to the 4-1 win in Game 2. With the score 2-1 in favor of Waterloo, Fargo pulled their goalie with 1:19 left in regulation. The Black Hawks were able to score empty net goals to close out the game. Fargo will host Game 3 on Tuesday, April 18 at 7:05 PM.

Only one game is on the schedule for Sunday, April 16. The Sioux City Musketeers host the Des Moines Buccaneers for Game 2. The puck drops at 5:05 PM at Tyson Events Center.
