It's only week two in the National Football League season, but David Johnson is already making headlines. The former University of Northern Iowa football star has scored three touchdowns in just two games.

Johnson broke 15 school records and helped lead UNI to its 17th playoff appearance in school history. That career performance caught the eye of the Arizona Cardinals. During the 2015 NFL Draft, they selected Johnson in the third round (86th overall pick), and he became the fourth highest pick for a Panther football player in UNI history.

During his 2015 NFL preseason, Johnson did not make a lot of noise. He had an average rookie campaign. He made 17 rushing attempts for 64 yards and six receptions for for 55 yards and one touchdown, but as week two of the NFL regular season comes to a close, cue up the David Johnson highlight videos.

The record-setting Panther has touched the ball only a handful of times during the first two weeks, but he has found the endzone three times.

The first score came in week one (September 13, 2015) against New Orleans. He helped clinched the game late in the fourth quarter. Johnson took a screen pass from quarterback Carson Palmer and ran 55-yards down the sideline for the score.

Johnson helped 'kick off' week two (September 20, 2015) in Chicago against the Bears. He took the opening kick off 108-yards for the first score of game (video).

His third TD came midway through the third quarter in the same game. He crossed the goal line after a 13-yard run.

The normal Arizona starter at running back Andre Ellington did not play against the Bears because of a knee injury. Chris Johnson and Kerwynn Williams were expecting to get a majority of the game time. David Johnson hopefully made enough noise during the first two weeks to change coach Bruce Arians' mind down the road.
