Bremer County authorities have released details on a recent accident involving a Tripoli school bus that had students on board.

Sheriff’s officials said the accident happened when the school bus crossed over the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 63 and was struck in the passenger side rear wheel by another southbound vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Cindy Dralle of Fredericksburg. Officials identified the bus driver as 44-year-old Paula Carlson of Tripoli, who they cited for failure to yield the right of way.

According to authorities, both drivers and the students on the bus were all evaluated for injuries at the scene. No injuries were listed in an accident report, released by sheriff's officials.

Following the accident, the students were transported back to Tripoli High School to be reunited with their parents.

The crash happened Thursday around 4 PM about five miles southwest of Tripoli.
