Three People Killed In a Chickasaw County Crash

3 people have died and 2 are injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday (01-19-16) evening. According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash happened near Highway 63 and 240th Street.

Authorities say Kevin Powers of Ainsworth was driving his semi on Highway 63 when Bertha Smith failed to yield causing the two vehicles to crash.

Latorris Duffie, Keith Demry, and Devin Gordin were all killed in the crash. The Iowa State Patrol says none of them were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

Bertha Smith and Shaun Anderson were sent to a hospital in Mason City.
