Sturgill Simpson will celebrate the release of his new album Sound & Fury with six shows to benefit U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers. The concerts are scheduled for small venues in California, New York, Washington, DC and New Jersey.

Simpson will begin his run of charity-focused performances at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, Calif., on Sunday (Sept. 29), just two days after Sound & Fury is released. Additional stops are planned through Oct. 8, at San Francisco's Independent, Asbury Park, N.J.'s Stone Pony and more; a full list of stops is below.

All of the net proceeds from Simpson's six concerts will be donated to the non-profit Special Forces Foundation, which offers support to Green Berets and their families. Simpson's fourth studio album, Sound & Fury is due out on Friday (Sept. 27). A rock record, the project will be paired with an anime film of the same name, written and directed by Kamikaze Douga animation studio founder Jumpei Mizusaki and featuring work from Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki, Masaru Matsumoto, Shunsuke Ochiai is co-executive producer and more.

In addition to Simpson's six scheduled performances, he has also scheduled screenings of Sound & Fury at Hollywood, Calif.'s ArcLight Cinema on Sept. 26 and New York City's IFC Theater on Oct. 3. According to the New York Times, Simpson will spend part of 2020 on the road for a 40-stop tour in support of Sound & Fury. He's already announced a few shows in Europe for the new year.
