State That Needs the Least Financial Help Due to COVID-19? = Iowa

In some cases, it's not always good to come in first place, and in this case, it's definitely better to come in last.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused states to lose massive amounts of tax revenue  with businesses being shutdown for the past couple of months. Somehow, they still have to figure out a way to support their residents. WalletHub has released its report on the States That Need the Most Financial Help Due to COVID-19 and Iowa came in 50th. That's a good thing.

You're probably thinking, define "financial help". WalletHub compared the 50 states across 18 key metrics. The data set used to determine "financial help" include, the state’s "rainy-day" funds, state and local debt per capita, to the share of the workforce in highly-affected industries. Here's how we did in other key metrics:

Iowa also scored well, as far as, Health and Unemployment landscape. The state scored well in metrics like "States with the Best Health Infrastructure for Coronavirus", and "Unemployment Claims Increase Since the Beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic". I know are unemployment seems high, but it's not nearly as bad as many other states.

Joining us at the bottom of the list of states that need the least financial help, are Vermont, South Dakota and Wyoming. At the top of the list, needing the most financial help are Louisiana, Kentucky and Florida.
