Paying for things with your phone has been around for a while, it's not new, but it will soon be a new feature at Target!

Target announced on Tuesday that they will soon (and I mean really soon) be accepting contactless pay either with your phone or with a card. An official launch date wasn't set but a spokeswoman said they'll be rolling this out quickly. The plan is to have this ability at all Target stores in a few weeks.

So if you have Apple pay, Google pay, Samsung pay, or "contactless cards" from Discover, Visa, Master Card, and American Express you'll soon be able to whip out your phone or your card at Target, tap it on the point-of-sale device, and be on your way. Shopping at Target just got a million times easier!

Target was kind of slow to hop on the contactless payment train. Star Tribune reports that smartphone users said Target, Walmart, and Costco are the last big stores to accept this kind of payment. Well, Costco started accepting contactless payment in August, Target will accept it soon, and then Walmart is just... hangin' out, not changing anything right now.
