Search For Missing Woman Near Dunkerton
Black Hawk County authorities will continue the search for a woman who went missing near Dunkerton.
47-year-old Rhonda Apfel was reported missing by a family member Monday morning (May 29, 2017).
Later, a neighbor found Apfel's motorcycle at Bruggeman Wildlife area. Her shoes and jacket were also found there.
Officers started the search around 10 a.m. Monday along the nearby Wapsipinicon River, northeast of Dunkerton, but discontinued their effort at nightfall.
The search will resume today (Tuesday, May 30), with the use of a boat and ATVs.
