A New Seafood Restaurant Has Opened in Cedar Rapids [PHOTOS]

Looking for seafood? Here you go! A new restaurant called Juicy Crab Island is now open near Downtown Cedar Rapids!

Juicy Crab Island is located at 1323 1st Ave SE, which was the former home of Poppa n Tommyz, 3 Nineteen Arcade & Bar, Uptown Live, and The Thirsty Turtle Tavern. It's right across the street from Wendy's near Coe College. The new eatery was initially supposed to hold its grand opening on January 26th, but they announced on Facebook that they would only be opening for carry-out on that date. They officially opened for dine-in sometime in February.

The menu at Juicy Crab Island contains lots of seafood options, like lobster, crab legs, crawfish, mussels, shrimp, and more. Customers can build their own seafood combo bags, which also contain corn and potatoes. Other items on the menu include a variety of appetizers, seafood gumbo, fried catfish, calamari, oysters, wings, and alfredo dinners.

Juicy Crab Island hasn't been open long, but it already has several very positive reviews online. A 5-star Google review from Tori Corporon reads:

"Went there yesterday and everything was so good crab legs literally cooked perfect and seasoned perfectly this my new spot forsure 10/10 recommend!"

Another review on Facebook by user Cassandra Anne Welch says:

"The food was soooo bomb! And well priced for what we ordered."

There's also a Google review from Eli Nesmith that mentions the interior of the new restaurant. He says that "the whole space has been completely renovated since the previous owner and looks great."

Juicy Crab Island is open Sunday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. You can check out the restaurant's official Facebook page HERE.
