Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard announced today there will be a change in the head football coaching position at Iowa State University at the conclusion of this season. Pollard informed Coach Paul Rhoads of his decision Sunday (Nov. 22, 2015) morning.

Rhoads will coach the Cyclones in their season finale at West Virginia Saturday.

Rhoads is ending his seventh season on the Iowa State sidelines. He is 32-54 overall and 3-8 this year. Rhoads took Iowa State to three bowl games in seven years.

Pollard will be available to the news media on Monday at noon in the Hunziker Auditorium. Rhoads is meeting the media at his previously scheduled media session on Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Bergstrom Football Complex.

Rhoads achieved a 32-54 record in seven seasons at Iowa State and went without having won more than three Big 12 game wins in a season. He lead the Cyclones to three bowl appearances in his first four seasons. The 2009 Insight Bowl win in 2009 was the team's first first bowl victory since 2004.

ESPN is report that Iowa State will owe Rhoads $4.5 million, according to a buyout clause in his contract.
