A Sumner man is being charged with causing a rollover accident in rural Fayette County.

Just before 10pm Wednesday (March 8) the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a vehicle that had rolled over on 210th Street near "Y" Avenue, about 5 miles west of Hawkeye.

An investigation determined that 24 year old Nathaniel Meyer of Sumner was driving east, when he lost control of his pickup; the truck then entered a ditch and rolled onto it's top.

No injuries were indicated.

Meyer was charged with Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to use his Seat Belt.

The 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was totaled.

The Sumner Fire Department and Sumner Ambulance assisted the sheriff at the scene.
