A huge winter storm dumped as much as 10" of snow across Northeast Iowa Monday night. School districts throughout the area decided to cancel classes--something that's become a common occurrence the past few weeks.

Sure, it's aggravating--parents can only enjoy SO MUCH time with the kids, right?--but this winter has been so harsh that you really have no choice but to laugh. That's the approach Oelwein Community Schools decided to take.

The district made this announcement on Facebook Monday night:

As of now the post has garnered nearly 1,000 reactions and has been shared more than 750 times.

The last day for Oelwein schools is now scheduled for Friday, June 7th. But let's be real...there's A LOT of winter left. I wouldn't get too excited yet. R.I.P. Summer.
