Who's will be in the 2019 class?

With the official announcement of who will be in the class of the 2019 Video Game Hall of Fame, some big titles have been introduced as the finalists. The announcement will be coming in early May but the nominees are:

Super Mario Kart (1992)

Centipede (1980)

Mortal Kombat (1992-present)

Microsoft Widows Solitaire (1990)

NBA 2K (1999-present)

Candy Crush (2012)

Colossal Cave Adventure (1976)

Dance Dance Revolution (1999)

Half Life (1998)

Myst (1993)

Sid Meier's Civilization (1991)

Super Smash Bros. Melee (2001)

Out of all these games, I've only played Super Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Candy Crush, Dance Dance Revolution, and of course, solitaire. I've only played Dance Dance Revolution when out at an adult style arcade like a Dave n Busters and that's usually after a couple. It seems like EVERY phone or tablet app game is some Candy Crush rip off. While I never really got into the game, personally, I know its one of the most addictive games of all time.

Super Mario Kart should be the odds on favorite to make it in to the Video Game Hall of Fame. There was not one sleep over that was had in the early 90's that didn't have huge Super Mario Kart battles.

Mortal Kombat was so influential that it has it's own movies. This is another one I would vote to get in.

You haven't had a childhood if you weren't subject to the only game on the Windows PC... Solitaire. There is something great about winning and seeing all those cards fall though.

I. LOVED. MYST. This game was so revolutionary. I had never seen real people in video games before and I was so glad I had the guide book because the puzzles were difficult but so much fun. Even watching that recap brought back all the nostalgia of that creepy/fun game.
