Neuman’s Movie Monday-Top 5 Good & Bad Witches

It's Halloween week. This would be a good week for a horror movies list. I don't watch horror movies, so here is a list of the top 5 good witches and 5 bad witches because the 31st is also National Magic Day.

Top 5 Good Witches

5. Sarah Bailey (The Craft)

Sarah is an outsider to the other 3 girls and is the unlikely hero. She sees the world differently then the rest of her new found friends. Her inner goodness will always win in the end.

4. Isabel Bigelow/Samantha (Bewitched)

Samantha is one of the greatest. She just uses her magic to fix the problems her family faces usually caused by her family that didn't want her to marry a mortal. Simply a classic.

3. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter Series)

Hermione is extremely bright. Her cunning wit makes her, not only, the smartest witch of her age, but extremely powerful. She is also incredibly loyal and caring. In the fight against the dark magic world, it was lucky to have her on the good side.

2. Glinda the Good Witch (The Wizard of Oz)

It says 'good witch' right in her name. So why didn't see take the top spot? Seems like she could have told Dorothy a long time ago that she could click her heels and go where ever she wanted. Including home.

1. Molly Weasley (Harry Potter Series)

She is the greatest. She is so sweet to everyone and treats all the children as if they are her own. Don't battle her, because you will lose.

Top 5 Bad Witches

5. Winnie Sanderson (Hocus Pocus)

Clearly the brains of the operation. She is pretty intimidating for this movie. If her sisters didn't get in the way, she could really take over and bring her evilness to the next level.

4. The White Witch (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe)

The icy stare of The White Witch is so grueling. She clearly only cares about herself and the way she does care about breaking up the Pevensie family is brutal. She is not to be trifled with.

3. Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

One of the most popular witches of all time. She is just so evil. Everything she says is a smarmy and sarcastic line then like a light switch, changes to pure evil.

2. Bellatrix Lestrange (Harry Potter Series)

Bellatrix is a murdering evil woman. She is evil down to her core. As Voldemort's number 1 supporter, you know she's a bad one. She murders her own family and laughs and taunts people about it. She even goes to prison to stay loyal to the dark arts and is evil to the very end.

1. The Wicked Witch of the West (The Wizard of Oz)

A classic, ugly, mean, evil witch. She conjures fireballs and hurls them at a person who is made of straw. She sends flying monkeys to kidnap a teenage girl. Even when she meets her peril, she's so mean, her soldiers turn on her and worship Dorothy. That's proof she is deserves the top spot on this list.
