As we approach the end of 2017, we look forward to movies coming out in 2018.

10. Game Night

The best way to describe how I feel about this movie is: Intrigued. I'm almost excited to go into a movie with low expectations. It will either be what you expect, or blow you away. The tailors for this movie have been really vague. On the surface it looks terrible but if it's a good murder mystery night, or as funny as movie like "Clue" is, it could be really good.

Notables: Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams

9. Bohemian Rhapsody

The biopic of Queen front man, Freddy Mercury has already had a ton of problems in production. The first pick to play Mercury was Sacha Baron Cohen but he got axed for Rami Malek. THEN, the director Bryan Singer was canned for Dexter Fletcher. So it'll be interesting to see how this film is received. Any fan of music knows Queen. Freddy Mercury had one of the most iconic voices in music history and everyone is pulling for this movie.

Notables: Mike Myers (It doesn't even say what his role is)

8. 12 Strong

This is about the first group deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11. They have to work with the Afghan warlord to take down the Taliban. I'm curious to see if/how they incorporate how the United States was feeling considering we were at the start of a new war and a retaliation.

Notables: Chris Hemsworth and Michael Pena

7. First Man

(NO PHOTO AVAILABLE)

This is a movie about Neil Armstrong and becoming the first person to step foot on the moon. Ryan Gosling is taking on the role on Armstrong. Hopefully this will be able to put the conspiracy theorists to rest. The interesting thing to note is that any time they make a movie about space, sometime the physics and logistics of space get put to the side (Gravity) so I hope they get it right here. Keep and eye of the twitter account of astrophysicists Neil deGrasse Tyson when this comes out. He loves poking science holes in movies and it's great!

6. Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald

The first "Fantastic Beasts" movie was ridiculed by the critics and fans who already have high aspirations for anything Harry Potter related. That's why it feels like this will be a good test to see where they go from here. Some controversy has arisen with the fact that Johnny Depp is cast to play Gellert Grindelwald. Typically all British actors are used in the Harry Potter universe so we'll see how Depp is received. There is a lot of anticipation for this movie because we are introduced to a young Albus Dumbledore played by Jude Law.

Noteables: As stated... Jude Law and Johnny Depp

5. Mary Poppins Returns

Emily Blunt will have two movies come out in 2018 and one of them she plays Mary Poppins. Jane and Michael are all grown up but Michael's kids get a surprise with the return of Mary Poppins. An all-star cast puts a ton of hopes on this movie.

Notables: Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke, Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury

4. Ready Player One

Steven Spielberg directs this futuristic science fiction movie. The look of it alone is amazing. The plot is even better. It's a story about a man who makes this alternate universe called OASIS. Then the man dies and leaves a recording saying that anyone who can find the "Easter Egg" he left in OASIS will receive his fortune. One character has the first clue and the race is on! See the trailer here.

Notable: Spielberg is directing... need I say more?

3. Three Christs

This movie actually has already debuted. It was shown at the Toronto Film Festival in September. It will debut in the U.S. in 2018. This story is really interesting. It's about a doctor who works with three paranoid schizophrenics who all believe that they are Jesus Christ. The take is that this is both a funny and moving film. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one.

Notables: Richard Gere, Peter Dinklage, Stephen Root

2. Solo A Star Wars Story

This is just for the nerd in me. I'm already on the edge of my seat waiting for "The Last Jedi" to come out and now we know there's going to be a Han Solo movie. Han is by far the best character in the series so to see his back story should be good. (As long as it isn't like Darth Vader's back story... ugh.)

Notables: Ron Howard (directing), Emilia Clarke, Woody Harlson, Clint Howard, Donald Glover as a young Lando Calrissian

1. The Irishman

I absolutely cannot wait for "The Irishman" to come out. The whole crew is back! Martin Scorsese is back with Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and the great Joe Pesci! It's all about the mob hit man who recalls his possible involvement in the murder/kidnap of Jimmy Hoffa. If you need any more incentive to see this movie, watch "Hoffa" with Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito. I have really high hopes for "The Irishman" and will probably see it the first night it comes out.

Notables: Martin Scorsese (directing) as mentioned: De Niro, Pacino, Pesci. Also in the movie: Harvey Keitel, Anna Paquin, and Ray Romano
