A man was rushed to a Waterloo hospital for treatment following a shooting in the city late Tuesday morning (Nov. 1, 2016).

According to police, officers found the man unconscious on the ground near Franklin and Rhey streets in the vicinity of the former St. John's Catholic Church and School. They were called to the location around 10:30 a.m.

Police confirmed the man was shot multiple times, but his condition hasn't been released (Update: Shooting Turns Fatal).

The shooting remains under investigation.
