Authorities are investigating the death of a man at an eastern Iowa rock quarry.

Emergency crews were called to Wendling Quarries near Garrison around 1:15 PM Wednesday on a report of an employee trapped in a rock bin. Benton County sheriff's officials said the victim was already dead by the time emergency crews arrived.

Authorities identified the victim as a 30-year-old man from Vinton. His name wasn't immediately released.

Investigators have classified the incident as an accident and they're trying to determine how it happened.
