Summer 2020 was... a bummer. All but one, maybe two Northeast Iowa county fairs had to scrap the summer concerts we were all excited about all winter. The cancelations are due to the ongoing pandemic. While some rescheduled, most were left trying to figure out what comes next. Well good news, one area fair has figured out their 2021 headliner.

The Franklin County Fair in Hampton will feature country star Trace Adkins in concert on Friday, July 16 2021. He'll perform at the fairs grandstand and tickets actually go on sale on Black Friday. Don't worry about shoving and pushing everyone to score your tickets, you can get them on the fairs website. Tickets will only run you $35 during the special, which runs through December 31st. if you'd prefer, you can purchase tickets by calling the box office at 641-456-2049. Tickets are refundable if COVID-19 is still an issue and the show is canceled.

Trace Adkins has sold more than 11 million albums and charted more than 20 singles in his 25 years in Nashville. He's also made numerous appearances on TV shows and movies and is a three time Academy of Country Music Awards winner.

His EP Ain’t That Kind of Cowboy released October 16, 2020 and features huts like 'Better Off'.

Won't it be NICE to see live country music again? After last nights CMA Awards, it's hard not to really miss it... Oh, and there's the fair food, too. That was missed in 2020. Who doesn't want some mini donuts? Um, is it July 2021 yet?
