Luke Bryan Says New Music Is Coming Very Soon
Luke Bryan says he's 95 percent finished with his next album, and fans can expect new music sooner than they may have thought.
During a jumbotron interview at the 2017 WE Fest in Detroit Lakes, Minn., Bryan shared that he would be recording vocals for a new song on Monday (Aug. 7), and that much of the rest of what will become his sixth studio album is settled. The project will be his first since Kill the Lights in August 2015, and he told SiriusXM's Storme Warren it will be released before the end of the year.
Bryan didn't debut any new songs during a nearly two-hour set at WE Fest, instead sticking to a setlist of established hits and well-known covers. Kill the Lights produced six No. 1 songs, giving him 10 straight since "That's My Kind of Night" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

In addition to his studio albums Bryan has released several Spring Break EPs and one Farm Tour EP. His Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Everyday Tour will run through October, with Farm Tour dates sprinkled in among his final month of shows. Brett Eldredge is opening the HFE Tour, while Jon Pardi has been tapped to open Farm Tour dates.
Elsewhere Bryan was named as a rumored judge for the new season of American Idol when it begins in 2018, but in reporting that rumor the Hollywood Reporter conceded that no conversations between the two parties have actually taken place.
