Luke Bryan adds a little Christmas cheer to his catalogue of hits with "O Holy Night," and the singer additionally feels a sense of accomplishment with his delivery of the revered song.

Bryan recorded his version of the classic holiday tune in 2017, showcasing the beauty and strength in his voice in a way the singer hopes listeners appreciate. Presenting the striking song with just himself and a piano player, Bryan's voice glows as he exemplifies his range.

"When I heard the finished product, I couldn't be prouder of a piece of work," he said. "It is probably one of my most proud recording moments."

As for his own Christmas traditions with his family, Bryan describes the holiday season at their home as a "good, all-American Christmas." While he says that he and wife Caroline try not to go over the top with presents for sons Bo and Tate (they're also raising his teenage nephew Til), the country star confesses he can't help but love seeing a Christmas tree with piles of gifts underneath -- because it's just so much fun to watch the kids' excitement on Christmas morning.

"I want just a lot of presents under the tree, whether it's a box of bubbles, just so they're tearing stuff open and they're going crazy," he admits. "I just want to enhance that moment of Christmas morning and try to slow them down. The worst feeling in the world is when the presents are up, and you realize as a kid you just ran through them in about 10 minutes."

Bryan's new album, What Makes You Country, hits stores Dec. 8. He'll also embark on a tour of the same name in 2018, kicking off Feb. 16 in Springfield, Mo.
