Kelsea Ballerini has released the studio version of one of her fans' favorite tunes, "We Were Like." Readers can press play above to listen to the nostalgic track, which Ballerini has been playing live at concerts for some time but has not officially released until now.

The first verse of "We Were Like" opens up describing a hot summer fling: "Two sets of lips on a Pepsi-Cola / In the middle of the summertime heat, you kept it cool," Ballerini sings. "We were West Coast kids riding 'round in your Chevy Nova / Said you'd come back for me when you had to leave / To go back to school."

Then, then beat picks up and leads into an anthemic chorus: "But we were like fire / Summer breeze / Seventies / All-nighter / Let the beach be the background choir / Singing like oh-oh-oh-oh-oh / We were like a movie / Said I looked too good in that two-piece / And for those three months, you knew me / Remember those, remember those nights? / We were like ..." The breezy song plays out as a feel-good throwback to your favorite summer.

Ballerini released her sophomore album, Unapologeticallyin 2017, but she recently dropped a deluxe version of the project, featuring four new tracks. The country star has announced her headlining Miss Me More Tour, which will begin in the spring of 2019 and take her to arenas around the country. Prior to hitting the road for her own trek, Ballerini will be on the road with Kelly Clarkson, for Clarkson's 2019 Meaning of Life Tour.
