Margo Price and Kacey Musgraves are two of the country and Americana artists lending their support to Planned Parenthood for their new #BansOffMyBody campaign, which seeks to fight back against restrictions to reproductive health care and raise awareness about the importance of abortion access and reproductive rights.

Almost 140 artists across all genres have declared their support for the campaign, and are featured in a new, full-page Billboard ad in support of #BansOffMyBody. Band of Horses, Adia Victoria, Erin Rae and Maggie Rogers have also signed their names to the campaign. The non-country artists who have voiced their support include Lizzo, Billy Eilish, Katy Perry, John Legend and many more.

According to Planned Parenthood's website, the campaign hopes to encourage fans to take action against abortion bans and reproductive rights restrictions. Its goal is to amass half a million signatures by January 2020, the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, a landmark Supreme Court decision ruling that the U.S. Constitution protects a pregnant person's liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive restrictions from the government.

An ad in support of the #BansOffMyBody campaign calls for music listeners to protect this liberty. "Freedom is at the foundation of music. Through music we have the power to create, to be who we are as individuals, to speak and live our truth," it reads. "... Right now our bodies are under attack in this country. Sweeping bans on access to safe, legal abortion are stripping away our freedoms."

As a part of their new campaign, Planned Parenthood will also be partnering with music festivals, such as Philadelphia's 2019 Made in America Festival and Atlanta's 2019 MusicMidtown, as part of their mission to spread awareness and support access to sexual and reproductive health care.
