The first ever "Iowa's Virtual Dirt Track Classic" will drop the green flag on January 13, 2016. Votes will power drivers to the finish line. Fans can still nominate drivers to be in this virtual race.

Drivers from across Iowa were selected to make up the preliminary list of competitors in the Modified, Late Model, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, and SportMod/Bmod divisions. Race fans still have a chance to add drivers before the VDTC gets under way.

A majority of the field is comprised of track champions from tracks in the Hawkeye state. Also national, regional, state, and travel tour champions, who live in Iowa, were added if they were not already on the list.

If less than 20 drivers made the list, PositivelyRacing.com's All Iowa Points were used. A driver had to be in the Top 10 in All Iowa Points to be added. This was done until 20 drivers were on the list (if possible).

Race fans can nominate a driver via the form below. The VDTC committee will use the following criteria. Drivers will be added based race fan nominations and a driver's performance across the entire season at tracks in Iowa, and it will not be based on a single event win. The deadline for the nomination phase is set for January 11, 2016.

The racing community will vote to determine who wins this event. All virtual competitors will be randomly placed into a heat race. The top 12 overall vote-getters from the heat races will advance to the A-Main. And no it is not illegal if a driver 'encourages' fans to vote for them via social media.

Heat Races for Iowa's Virtual Dirt Track Classic begins on January 13, 2016. Voting will end on January 25, 2016. The VDTC main event qualifiers will be announced and voting will begin on January 27, 2016. Plus, the racing video series the "Grudge Nationals" will post its first of three episodes that same day.

The VDTC main event winners will be announced on February 10, 2016. The final episode of the "Grudge Nationals" will post its final episode on the 10th as well.
