Clear Creek Dog Resort is located in Tiffin, Iowa, and it looks like the popular dog facility is giving your fur baby more room to roam and play with friends.

My wife and I recently went on our honeymoon after getting married in September and we were lucky enough to bring our 8-month-old lab-mix puppy with us. She's not exactly 'little' anymore but it was awesome she was able to travel with us as we did a massive road trip east. The great news for anyone who uses Clear Creek Dog Resort or for anyone who may start to is...they are adding a TON of space for your animal to enjoy during their stay! Clear Creek is expanding their natural grass field to 57,000 square feet and it will soon be adding a dog park!

After some quick math, the additional natural grass section of the facility is adding 57,000 square feet, which is roughly 1.3 acres. The 150,000-square-foot dog park addition is roughly 3.4 acres. In total, the facility is expanding almost 5 acres.

Not only are they adding more space for your pet to enjoy, but the splash pad is opening soon if you have a dog who likes to play in the water. As we gear up for another Iowa summer, what better way to help keep your dog cool on a hot day than letting them play with some friends in the water?

Rules

Before you plan on sending your dog to Clear Creek for a doggy spa day/week, there are a few rules and regulations you'll need to check on/update first. Most of these are pretty common for any facility or dog park so unless you have a brand-new puppy or your dog struggles to get along with other dogs, you've likely completed these already.

• Dogs must be 10 weeks of age to participate in daycare and boarding
• All dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare and boarding
• Dogs must have up-to-date vaccines for Distemper/Parvo, Rabies, and Bordetella to attend boarding and daycare
• Flea and ticket prevention is required
• No treats unless it's for meal times. Any bedtime/nap treats must be purchased through a retail store
• All dogs must be non-aggressive towards people
• All dogs must be non-aggressive towards other dogs.
