Inmate Fails To Return To Waterloo Work Release Facility
A Black Hawk County inmate has been placed on escape status after she failed to return to a local work release facility.
Iowa Department of Corrections officials said Lakoda Christensen, 23, failed to report back to the Waterloo Women's Center For Change Wednesday night. She is described as a 5'4" white female, who weighs about 134 pounds.
According to court records, Christensen was convicted of second-degree robbery and other crimes in Black Hawk County. Corrections officials say she was admitted to the work release facility on October 21st.
Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating her. Anyone with information on Christensen's whereabouts should contact local police.
