How to Watch This Weekend’s Space Shuttle Launch

The Saturday, November 14, 2020, SpaceX launch has been delayed to Sunday, due to inclement weather at the rocket booster’s landing location. SpaceX is now targeting 6:27 p.m. CT on Sunday, November 15.
SpaceX is targeting 6:49 p.m. CT on Saturday, November 14, for the launch of Crew-1 (the first crewed operational flight of a Crew Dragon spacecraft) aboard a rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The launch date is subject to change, depending on weather and technical factors. It has already been delayed once from its original launch date on October 31.

In May of this year, SpaceX completed its first crewed flight, a mission called Demo-2 that carried two NASA astronauts to the ISS for a two-month stay.
But this mission will be different: The two men aboard the flight in May took nearly 19 hours to reach the ISS, more than twice as long as Crew-1’s trip is scheduled to take. The Crew-1 flight should be short enough that the astronauts won’t need to sleep on the way. Once docked on the ISS, they will stay there for six months. The four-person team will join three people already aboard the ISS.
