First seen on the feet of the crushed "Wicked Witch of the East" then magically on the feet of Dorothy, the Ruby Slippers are one of the most iconic movie props of all time. There were 4 pairs of the Ruby Slippers. One pair of the slippers were displayed at the Judy Garland Museum in her hometown of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. This particular pair were stolen in August of 2005.

Now the FBI Minneapolis has confirmed that the famous pair of slippers have been found and recovered.

The slippers are valued at $2 million to $3 million and up to $5 million on the black market. There was a 2016 documentary called The Slippers that chronicled the stolen pair of slippers.

As for the other sets of Ruby Slippers, according to CNN.com, a Tennessee schoolteacher won a pair the slippers at an auction and sold them in 1988 for $165,000. Another pair are apart of the traveling exhibition of the "America's Smithsonian". Also, in 2012, Leonard DiCaprio led a group of donors to buy one of the pairs of slippers so they could be on display at the "Academy Museum of Motion Pictures" that will open in Los Angeles this year.
