Former Iowa Hawkeye football standout talked to us about the Back Porch Revival at Kinnick Stadium and the charity he founded called the Native Fund.

The Back Porch Revival and the Native Fund this morning (March 1, 2016) announce two new names to the first ever concert in Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Blake Shelton will headline the inaugural event on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Big & Rich and Thomas Rhett will also be on the stage that night. Proceeds from the Back Porch Revival, to be held Aug. 27, will benefit the Native Fund, a new non-profit organization of “Iowans helping Iowans” formed by Dallas Clark, former Iowa Hawkeyes and Super Bowl champion with the Indianapolis Colt football player, and backed by Board of Directors and native Iowan Ashton Kutcher.

The Native Fund is a 501(c)3 established by Clark as a means of providing assistance to Iowa’s citizens affected by catastrophes such as floods and tornadoes, and serving youth and veterans in need.

About Native Fund: Whether it be physically or financially, lending a helping hand is inherent for the people of Iowa. The Native Fund is a resource for people to directly help the people of Iowa. Proceeds generated through the Native Fund will provide assistance to Iowans affected by natural disasters such as floods and tornados, and to youth and veterans – bridging the gap between state and national government assistance programs and the shortfall of where need still exists.
