One Waterloo business is airing out, after a small weekend fire smoked the place up.
Firefighters were called at about 7:30 AM Sunday (August 21, 2016), to Ray's Supermarket on Franklin Street, when arriving employees found smoke when they got to work. No one was in the building at the time.

Firefighters found that a pilot light on a stove had ignited a utensil that was left on top of the unit.

The blaze was put out, and the grocery store was vented.

There was no fire damage, but there was extensive smoke damage, including most of the grocery stock.

The store, formerly called Save More Foods, will be closed as authorities continue to investigate.
