If you are like me and always seemed to have parents who tried to find the parking space in the desert when going to a grocery store so their car didn't get scratched... well, they may have been right for doing this.

I hate to admit this but a new study has come out that says it is actually way better to find a great parking spot than just parking and walking to the destination. Grabbing a spot in the middle of the parking lot, not the front or the dead end back, is actually the best strategy for parking. You waste less time this way. Yet, those who get their "dream" spots also waste less time...

If they go for a spot in the middle that they spend time searching for they are still closer to their destination which save them time from parking in the "desert" area.

So, next time spend some time on searching for that "perfect" spot because it may actually save you some time.
