Dolly Parton joined acclaimed a capella group Pentatonix for a unique new version of her classic hit, "Jolene," that is taking the internet by storm.

Parton has teamed with Cracker Barrel to release a deluxe version of her new album, Pure & Simple, and the down-home restaurant chain paired her with Pentatonix for a one-of-a-kind remake of her song, which she originally released in October of 1973. Her classic recording scored her a No. 1 hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Pentatonix shot to national recognition as a top a capella group after winning the third season of The Sing-Off in 2011, which landed them a recording deal. The Texas-based group -- which Cracker Barrel chose to be its first-ever Spotlight Music artist -- often bring their own slant to popular songs, and that's certainly true of the Parton classic.

We have to admit, we never thought we'd hear a Dolly Parton tune re-arranged to include beatboxing, but as you can see for yourself in the video above, the unique arrangement definitely brings a new color to Parton's performance. But it's surprisingly true to the original spirit of the song, with harmonies that are reminiscent of a classic country vocal group. A call-and-response trade-off and hand-clapping section add unexpected dynamics to the performance, which is so joyful that everyone involved bursts out laughing at the end.

Parton is currently on the road promoting her new album with her first extended tour of the U.S. in 25 years. Her Pure & Simple Tour is set to wrap in November in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
