“Flyin'” Ryan Dolan had the perfect car and a perfect track to help him land in victory lane at the Independence Motor Speedway on July 18, 2015.

“This was a perfect track,” Dolan said while standing in the Budweiser Victory Lane. “When it gets slick like this from top to bottom, it's fun to race.

“I knew we had a car tonight that could race for the win,” Dolan added. “It just took longer to get to the front than I thought it would. This is a great field of drivers that run here weekly.”

Dolan started sixth in the Budweiser IMCA Late Model feature, and he used every inch top-to-bottom to work through traffic and the eventual win. Rick Wendling was close but finished second. Tanner Allen, Tyler Droste, and Curt Martin rounded out the top five.

Vern Jackson had to use patience to make his pass for the lead around Ed Thomas in the Performance Bodies IMCA Modified A-Main. While most of the cars when fighting for real estate along the bottom of the track, Jackson moved up a lane.

“Once I got around, I just didn't feel confident enough to stay there,” Jackson said after the race. “So I went back to the bottom and guarded the bottom.”

Ronn Lauritzen suffered a flat tire on the opening lap, but he raced his way through the pack to finish second. Thomas, Ryan Maitland, and Patrick Flannagan made up the rest of the top five.

Justin Temeyer took the lead just past the halfway point in the Burco Sales IMCA Stock Car main event. Jarod Weepie, Roger Ceiceilski, and Norman Chesmore all pressured Temeyer for the win. Weepie was able to edge out Temeyer with three laps remaining, but it was Ceiceilski that slipped by and led the final two laps for the win. Temeyer, Weepie, and Chesmore followed him across the line.

In the Big Daddy Chassis IMCA Hobby Stock feature, Shawn Kuenen was leading when the white flag came out, but he got his right rear tire upper and over the back side of turn one. That allowed Justin Lichty get by for the lead and the eventual win. Tyler Ollendiecck, Quinton Miller, Randy Byerley, and Kuenen wrapped the rest of the top five.

It was the Olson and Olson show in the Tenacity Graphics IMCA SportMod A-Main. Tony Olson wrestled the lead away from cousin Kyle Olson with five laps remaining. Tony beat Kyle to the checkered flag. Alex Zwanzinger and Ryan King followed the Olson's across the line.

Don Eger claimed the win in the RCZ Enterprises Indee Car A-Main.

Up Next: Saturday, July 25 hot laps will start at 6:30 with racing to follow. To learn more about the Independence Motor Speedway, follow them on Facebook and log on to their web site at www.RaceIndee.com.
