The Sporting News is reporting that the Masters Golf Tournament is banning fans from yelling out 'Dilly Dilly' during this year's tournament. Security has been instructed to escort anyone who does shout it out off of the premises.

Tournament officials have been hot to trot and cracking down on hecklers. The most recent issue came last year when a fan was removed from the tournament grounds after he kept yelling ''get in the bunker''.

I have lost count the number of times I've heard the phrase 'Dilly Dilly' has been shouted out when ever I leave the comforts of the Doren Manse Sports Bar & Grill. I must admit that it does make me smile, but I do understand that golf has a 'Quiet Please' etiquette deal at it's events.

"1,000 Dilly Dilly shirts that shall be delivered to Georgia in time for the festivities."  I'm sorry, but that's hilarious. To that I say, "Dilly Dilly."

I wonder if Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch will add the Augusta National Golf Club to their Christmas Card list to thank them for the free publicity.
