Another day and another story about more people losing jobs here in America.

According to KWWL, via CNN, Dicks Sporting Goods is furloughing the majority of its 40,000 employees. With the lack of sporting events going on right now, the retailer is finding it hard to survive.

The report states that Dicks has 800 stores across the country and it indicated that they won't be reopening anytime soon.

After a call to an area location, the employee told me the store is closed the public but they are offering curbside pick-up. That means you can pick out your products on-line, pay with a card and pick-up at the curb.

The furloughs will start on Easter Sunday, April 12, according to KWWL. The good news is the workers will continue to receive their benefits for now.
