The Wartburg Knights women's basketball team fell in their NCAA D-III 'Final Four' game. The Tufts (University) Jumbos defeated Wartburg 63-50 ending the Knights' season.

A strong defense by the Jumbos kept the Knights off the score sheet in the first period. Miranda Murphy drained a three-point bucket to finally get Wartburg on the board about two minutes into the second quarter. That helped her teammates relax. The Knights were able to match the Jumbos point-for-point for the remainder of the first half, but they trailed 28-15 at the half.

Wartburg battled back to give themselves a chance at the win. With 4:49 left in the fourth, the Knights only trailed by four points, but the Jumbos were able to stop that rally and go for the 60-53 win.

Morgan Neuendorf lead the Knights with 16 points. She was named to the Final Four All-Tournament team. Aryn Jones added another 11 points.
