Third-ranked Cedar Falls beat Cedar Rapids Kennedy in the Class-5A quarterfinals of the 2015 Iowa High School Girls State Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

The Tigers won the match 3-1, beating the 10th-rated Cougars (29-10) by scores of 25-22, 25-20, 16-25 and 25-20.

The victory moved the Cedar Falls (37-4) into the semifinals. They'll next play Bettendorf at 10 a.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs (34-2) advanced with a straight-set win (3-0) over Iowa City West Tuesday afternoon.

Cedar Falls is competing in the state tournament for the 17th time in program history. The Tigers are making their first appearance since 2011.
