The UNI Panthers matched their season-high five-game winning streak with an 83-69 triumph over the Missouri State Bears at the McLeod Center in Cedar Falls on Wednesday (Feb. 10, 2016).

UNI (15-11 overall, 7-6 MVC) had four players reach double-figure scoring led by junior Jeremy Morgan's career-high 21 points. Senior Matt Bohannon and sophomore Bennett Koch each tallied 19 points. Senior Wes Washpun chipped in with 11 points and a game-high nine assists.

Bohannon scored 14 of his 19 points in the first half and become the 39th member of UNI's 1,000-point scoring club. The senior guard from Marion, Iowa, has scored 1,005 points in 128 career games.

The Panthers handed out 18 assists to go against only three turnovers in the contest. UNI also out-rebounded Missouri State, 33-32.

The Bears (10-15 overall, 6-7 MVC) were led by Chris Kendrix with 20 points and Jarred Dixon with 15 points. Kendrix added a team-best eight rebounds.

UNI came out firing in the first half, making its first four three-point shots while building a 20-10 lead seven minutes into the contest. Bohannon added his second three-pointer of the first half with 11:50 on the clock, extending the advantage to 14 points at 27-13.

The Panthers led 49-38 at the intermission after shooting 52.9 percent from the floor with 13 assists and zero turnovers in the first half.

Missouri State trimmed UNI's lead to three points at 61-58 with 9:33 left in the game following a three-pointer by Loomis Gerring. But the Panthers responded with a 13-0 run to take a 74-58 lead with 5:48 left on the clock. Koch dunked a putback with 4:29 remaining to put UNI up by 18 points at 78-60.
