It's a big weekend of wrestling in the Cedar Valley. The UNI-Dome will host the final stage of U.S. Olympic Team Trials qualification this weekend. Over 175 wrestlers are expected to compete.

The Last Chance Olympic Trials Qualifier will be held in conjunction with the Cliff Keen/USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, IA, April 1-3, 2016.

Several big names are registered and ready to compete in a field that boasts over 175 competitors. Each hoping to advance to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials to be held on April 9-10 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, IA. Only the champion in each weight class will qualify to compete in Iowa City.

 

On Friday, Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete. Men's freestyle wrestles on Saturday, and women's free style closes out competition on Sunday.

The Cliff Keen/ USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals will wrestle side-by-side with the U.S. Olympic Team Trials hopefuls with Bantam, Intermediate, Novice, Schoolboy, Cadet, Junior and Veterans divisions being contested over three days. Over 1,500 wrestlers from across the U.S. are registered for Folkstyle Nationals.
