Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

Six teams from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa are featured in the first regular-season girls basketball rankings of the season, released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) on Friday (Dec. 4, 2015).

The highest rated teams are Turkey Valley in Class-1A and Center Point-Urbana in 3A, which are third in the polls. Janesville is also ranked in the 1A top-15 (at No. 15), as is La Porte City Union in 3A (at No. 8).

The area's other ranked teams include Waverly-Shell Rock (No. 12 in Class-4A) and Cedar Falls (No. 13 in Class-5A).

All six teams were ranked in the IGHSAU's preseason poll, which was released last week.
