Linn-Mar overwhelmed No. 5 Indianola 60-38 to start the quarterfinal round during the Class 5A opener. The Lions led by as many as 22 in the second half and never let Indianola get closer than 13. (Read More, Box Score)

Johnston beat Southeast Polk 60-48 in theire Class 5A quarterfinal game. The Dragons recorded their first state tournament victory since defeating Bonaparte, 19-11, in the 1934 consolation game. (Read More, Box Score)

Third-ranked Ankeny Centennial emerged from a tense back-and-forth game with Davenport North. The Jaguars went on to beat North, 56-52. (Read More, Box Score)
